Design
Your Own?
|
 |
In
simple terms, Premierack racking consists of just two components - upright
frames and beams. |
| By
following a few basic guidelines (see below) ordering the correct components
to build a safe and efficient pallet racking installation up to 6000mm is
easy. Please contact us if you require an installation higher than 6000mm. |
| Choosing
the correct beam length and frame depth |
| The
size of the pallet and its load determine which beam length and frame to
order:- |
| Pallet
Dimensions (No load overhang) |
Beam
length |

|
| Note:
Avoid storing pallets of different sizes and types. However non-standard
pallets could be stored on slave pallets of correct grade or, in some cases,
on the floor. |
|
|
 |
Choosing
the correct frame height
|
| The
height of your building and / or lift height of your fork truck together
with the number of pallets to be stored in the height will determine
the maximum frame that you need to order. |
| When
calculating the space between the beam levels, remember to allow for
clearance when lifting the load off the beam. You may also need a
beam at ground level if your truck has straddle legs. (If in doubt
give us a call). |
| The
maximum 1st beam level with open beams is 1800mm, and with box and
step beams 2300mm. If either the height to the first beam level or
any spacing between levels thereafter exceeds 2300mm, please contact
us for technical advice. |
Choosing
the correct beam capacity
|
| The
weight of the load including the pallet determines the beam capacity
required. All of the capacities quoted are for uniformly distributed
safe working loads (U.D.S.W.L). In this case UDSWL means that the
load must be supported by 80% or more of the beam's length. Contact
us if you have unusual loads or require technical advice. |
| Open
and box beams - Can be used for a wide variety of storage applications.
All beams possess a 5-hook connector with stiffening ribs and rolled
edges to ensure maximum stability and are supplied with safety locking
pins to prevent accidental dislodgement. |
| Step
beams - These are selected where flush fitting shelves are required
and are particularly suited to non-palletised loads. Step beams can
be used with chipboard and steel decking. |
|
|
|

Solutions
|
| Options
for your premierack pallet storage system include Wide
Aisle Adjustable Pallet Racking, Double Deep Racking, Narrow Aisle
Racking, Drive In Racking, Drive Through Racking, Push Back Racking,
Pallet Live Storage & Mobile Pallet Racking, see below for further
details and follow the links within the pictures to find the features
and benefits of each. |
|
|
Premierack
Wide Aisle Adjustable Racking.
With fully adjustable beam levels to suit varying pallet heights,
this system gives 100% access to each individual pallet. Aisles
are designed for use by different types of trucks and are wide enough
to allow full maneuverability.
|
 |
Premierack
Double Deep Racking.
When space is at a premium, the use of Double Deep can reduce by
50% the number of aisles required with a wide aisle application.
This system enables a far more effective utilization of available
space.
|
 |
Premierack
Narrow Aisle Racking.
Narrow aisle allows access to each individual pallet whilst retaining
full system adjustability. It offers the same flexibility found
with wide aisle, but increases storage capacity by reducing aisle
width and storing pallets to a greater height. Another benefit is
that a good speed of throughput is maintained.
|
 |
Premierack
Drive In / Drive Through Racking.
Allows high density storage for installations with a low number
of product lines without requiring the use of specialist equipment.
It is also particularly suited to cold or chill store environments.
|
 |
Premierack
Push Back Racking.
This system offers a higher density occupancy rate than any other
high density application. It gives fast throughput without the need
for specialized forklift trucks.
|
 |
Premierack
Pallet Live Storage.
With no specialist handling equipment required, pallet live storage
provides first in first out automatic stock rotation whilst achieving
good space utilization
|
 |
Premierack
Mobile Racking.
Offering the best space utilization available mobile racking gives
a high density APR storage system with an aisle which moves to create
access where needed. Individual pallets are available without the
need for specialist equipment. Mobile racking has the potential
for high occupancy rates.
|
 |
Premierack
Multi-Tier Racking.
Excellent for hand picking operations in a high density environment.
The uprights support not only the shelving but also walkways. Forklift
trucks and incline belt conveyors can be used to load or retrieve
goods from higher levels.
